Transformation through
Bible translation
WHY AN Alliance?
Engage locally, connect globally
Every person on Earth should have access to God’s Word in the language they know best.
Be a voice in the movement to see it happen—and to see what happens next.
Who
We are Bible translation and mission organisations, churches and denominations, indigenous organisations and networks, training institutions and seminaries, and more.
What
Together, we want to see people, communities and nations transformed through God’s love and Word expressed in their languages and cultures.
How
As a global community, together we serve people, organisations and churches participating in Bible translation movements locally and internationally.
Why
Bible translation is essential for discipleship, evangelism and church planting. Access to Scripture allows people to connect intimately with God, understand the Bible and grow as followers of Jesus.
The Wycliffe Global Alliance includes a huge diversity of cultures, languages and organisational sizes.
Together, we bring a rich mosaic of resources and experience to a table where EVERYONE has a voice. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
— African proverb
Lives transformed. Communities transformed.
Even nations transformed.
A video introduction to the Wycliffe Global Alliance
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

THRIVING IN COMMUNITY
We live in a volatile, unpredictable, complex and ambiguous world. News and strategies in one part of the world affect ministry in other parts.
The Wycliffe Global Alliance serves as “connective tissue” for the Body of Christ, in your part of the world and globally. Our small, central team helps coordinate:
- Prayer networks
- Timely communication of news and information
- Training opportunities
- Live and virtual gatherings
- Projects funded and managed collaboratively
There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ.
— 1 Corinthians 12:12
